Airless Spray Guns
Master Hire’s airless spray guns are ideal for painting large surfaces with water soluble paints. These units are run by an electric 240V motor and airless pump generating 0 – 3300 psi adjustable pressure (can be run on a 3.5kva generator or larger). Tip extensions can be used in many applications and are used to extend the spray tip on the spray gun. Typically painters use these extension tips for painting roofs or ceilings so they don’t have to bend over as low or when they need the extra reach.

Master Hire typically supplies 517 as these tips are considered standard all-purpose sizes. Airless spray gun tips are sized using a 3 digit number such as 515. The first number has to do with the width of the spraying fan. Double the front number and when sprayed at around 300mm (12 inch/1 ft.) from the surface that will be the fan width e.g., 515, first number doubled that is 10inch fan width. The last 2 digits refer to the size of the hole or orifice the paint sprays through, the larger the number the more paint it lets through, this is measured in Thou (thousands of an inch) For instance a 508 and a 515 both have the same fan width (approx. 10″) but a different size hole. The 508 has a .008″ hole and the 515 has a .015″ hole. The 508 is used for thinner paints than the 515. We recommend speaking with specialist paint shops if you require a particular size before purchasing.
